It was the perfect autumn morning – the air was crisp and the sunshine was glinting off the beautiful fall foliage on the ground at Diefenbaker Park. The Fraser family arrived all smiles and ready to go. And then I sat in dog poop!

The good news is that when you sit in dog poop at a family photo session (right during the first frame you shoot, of course), it provides tons of giggles and endless fodder for jokes throughout the session.  I must give credit to the dog owner that left such a present, because had they been considerate and cleaned up after their pet, the smiles on the faces of the Fraser family would not have been as genuine.

I loved working and getting to know this lovely family.  Their kids were gracious and polite, and they were all more than willing to laugh at my ridiculous jokes. I am so pleased with the way their session turned out. The colours, the smiles, and the joy were all total perfection that day, despite the rather “aromatic” experience!
