I love looking back at photos that are so incredibly beautiful, and remember the chaos that was actually happening at the time! The Hinton family asked me to come to their family home in December to take some 4-generation family photos. I *adore* this family, especially the mama. She is articulate, strong and extremely dedicated to her family, which includes very active twin boys.

These lovely photos barely give the slightest hint of the mayhem that happened during their session (and don’t get me wrong – I LOVE mayhem! It’s one of my favourite things at a photo session).  The boys were full of energy and SO EXCITED to show me their play room and their toys and their dog and their silly antics. The dog was SO EXCITED to have another person around that might pet him.  And grandma and great-grandma were holding their own with their own antics and conversation.

The house was full of beautiful noise, and even more beautiful Christmas decorations, and I hope that when the Hinton family looks back at these momentous photos in years to come, that they not only smile at the people in the photos but also at the memories of the noise and chaos. I know I will!
