It’s a Christmas tradition. The Mayhew family always comes out west for the holiday season, even though they live in the Toronto area. They spend their days hopping in the car and driving off to visit family all over the Lower Mainland and beyond, but luck for me, they made a pitstop at Historic Stewart Farm in White Rock on their way to Squamish on this snowy day in late December.

It was cold but everyone was in good spirits. Mom and dad loved to chat about their daughters’ many accomplishments and talents (photography and dance), and their girls good-naturedly rolled their eyes at the attention and accolades. They posed and they played and I was excited to hear that they had printed out many of their shots for a family collage back home.
