This past weekend was not only Mother’s Day weekend, it was also the weekend when I held the inaugural Good Mother Project “Mom & Me” photo sessions. You guys, it was such a beautiful weekend. At both our venues (The River Market in New Westminster and The Birch Tree in Ladner), we had sold-out back-to-back bookings, which resulted in two very busy photographers (thanks Catherine Hilcove Photography for jumping on board to help!) and dozens of smiling mamas and their children.

So far, we have raised OVER $2000 for the Pacific Post Partum Support Society, and I still have two more events coming up in Qualicum and Victoria! I am overwhelmed by the incredible response this project has had, and truly touched by all of the people that have come forward and wanted to contribute, either as sponsor, volunteers, writers on the Good Mother Project blog or media partners. This project has touched thousands of mamas so far, and I can’t wait to see where the future takes us!

In the meantime, I wanted to share with you some of the beautiful photos and messages from this past weekend. We all know a wonderful mama in our lives that could maybe use a hug today or a little note of encouragement. Pass it on, beautiful mamas!
