When I think of Tsawwassen’s most beautiful outdoor locations, Centennial Beach is the first place that comes to mind. If the tide is out, the sand stretches for miles and the view across the water is nothing short of spectacular. On a good day, MT. Baker can be clearly seen as well as the shores of White Rock across the bay. It’s no wonder that it’s one of the most popular requests in terms of photo shoot locations for my clients.
When I met with Carmen, her husband and her son, it was a bit of a blustery day at Centennial Beach, but that didn’t stop us! We began her maternity session right down by the water, taking advantage of the scenic landscape of driftwood, grey sand and deep blue water. Once the wind had gotten the best of us, we moved inland a little bit to one of my favourite spots at Centennial – the duck pond. The ducks even ventured out into the windy cold to “pose” in the background of some of our shots.
I’m really looking forward to meeting Carmen’s new arrival in a few weeks. Although the weather was cold that day, I felt the warmth of their excitement and love for this new baby, and I can’t wait to photograph him or her!
