What do you do when your big graduation party and commencement ceremony have been cancelled due to a global pandemic? What if you already bought the gorgeous gown and made an appointment for your hair?
You go to that hair appointment anyways, put that gorgeous gown on, and dance in the sunlit fields of Tsawwassen’s Centennial Beach. You take that opportunity to feel beautiful and accomplished, and you celebrate!
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been offering special sunset sessions for grade 7 and grade 12 graduates and it has been such a treat. These kids have had to miss out on such momentous events in their young lives, and I just adore being able to give them a chance to feel special and celebrated. Claire is a graduate from DSS who will be going on to the Opera program at UBC in the fall. I’ve had the opportunity to see her perform a few times with our local Delta Youth Theatre, and feel like we’ve developed a lovely little friendship over the years as I’ve taken her headshots for her. She’s talented, poised, genuine and just a true pleasure to chat with. I can’t wait to see where life takes her! Congratulations Claire!
