When our kids are young, we spend half of our day with our iPhones out, taking photos of them doing adorable things and catching their momentous “firsts.” As they get older, there’s less photos of them on our camera rolls – they start to develop their own lives, and they aren’t interested in being photographed every few seconds by a doting mama.

So, gathering the everyone together for family photos becomes even more important when the kids become teenagers. This lovely mom has been coordinating a family photo shoot every years since her kiddos were little, and I’ve had the pleasure of being involved for the last few years. Marnie’s oldest just graduated high school this past June and claims that this year was her “last year” for the family photo session, but we’ll just see! I have a feeling her mom might be able to convince her for next year…
