The last six months have certainly brought with them many changes for all of us. Quarantining, social distancing, masks, learning cohorts, border closures – it’s been a lot to take in and get used to. But there have been some blessings during this season as well.
As mama Allison posted on her Facebook page, “2020 you’ve tried to keep us down but there have been some unexpected sweet bonuses, such as slowing down and all the time together as a family.” And I couldn’t agree more! There’s been no better way to commemorate that precious time together than with beautiful family photos. When all is said and done in this crazy Covid era, we will, of course, remember the masks and social distancing, but I like to think that the memories of all the time together as a family, will be more at the forefront of our hearts.
The lazy pancake mornings, the full days in pjs, the family board game nights, the time spent in our own backyards, the long days at the local beach, the explorations of our local parks and trails – these are going to be the things we remember, and the things that our kids remember.
A beautiful thank you to the Wood family for celebrating the summer, and their family, with a sunset session with me. It was an honour and a pleasure to work with you guys!
