Sometimes you just gotta take your family photos with a bright orange comb!

Kids are wonderful – and weird – and adorable. And I always love when parents lean into their adorableness at a session, like this one, where one of Amber’s twin boys, clung onto an orange comb that somehow made it into each photograph, no matter how hard we tried to hide it or coax it out of his hands.

But that’s what I love about this age! Not only does Amber have beautiful images of her family during this snapshot in time; she also has a quirky, fun little memory to go along with it.

Yes, it’s lovely to have picture perfect photos. But the real moments are also perfect too. Even if they include a bright orange comb.
