Not every kiddo loves having their photography taken – but it’s my job to tackle that challenge!

When Carmen arrived at the beautiful Diefenbaker Park with her two adorable kids in tow, it was a lovely sunshiney afternoon. But her sweet little boy was SO not into me, or having his photo taken, even though her baby girl was more than happy to giggle and smile for the camera. We were patient and persevered, and even though her little man never *quite* warmed to me, he did offer up a few smiles for a tickle fight, and swinging from his hands.

The point is, it’s important to take the photos anyways. These are fleeting moments, and Carmen will always remember that her stubborn young son was not into having his photo taken that day. These photos will probably come out at his graduation and wedding. And he will forever have beautiful photos of his mama to cherish.
