Every now and then, a really awesome and unique opportunity comes my way, and although I love photographing families, when these chances come up, I usually jump at them!

In late May, I was fortunate enough to be hired by a parent of a graduating member of the UBC Rowing team, and had the opportunity to meet all the graduating rowers to take photos of them, together on land and then out on the water. It was a BEAUTIFUL evening – I honestly couldn’t have asked for better weather and conditions – and boy oh boy, do the photos really capture that!

I got to go out on the water in a motored boat to watch these athletes show off their skills, and I was so impressed! Not only were all of these young adults incredibly strong and skilled, but they were also all lovely human beings! It was an evening I soon won’t forget.
