When I first met Brenda, I was still in university and she didn’t have any children yet! I was a young, hopeful almost-graduate from UBC, looking to go into the education program and I had the pleasure of volunteering once a week in her classroom. We have kept in touch over the years – mostly through Facebook – and were able to connect in person again a couple years ago for a photo session for her youngest.

So, it was an absolute pleasure for me to meet up with her again this summer to do this sunset session with her lovely family. Her first son was just about to head off to university (!!!), but I don’t think she’s aged a bit (and neither have I, I’m pretty sure!).

What I love about the Brown family is their ability to laugh and enjoy each other’s company. I know that family photos are not always high on the teenage boys’ list of things to do, but these amazing young men tolerated all of my endless questions and goofy prompts, resulting in these beautiful family photos for their mama (and dad!) to cherish.
