It feels a little strange to be sitting down to write a blog post about yet another sunset session, as I sit here sipping a warm mug of tea as the rain falls down outside. Autumn is definitely upon us!

But even though the days are a bit chillier and the leaves are changing, it’s still so heartwarming to look back on these summer sessions – truly some of my favourite sessions of the year! (as a side note – if you’d like to do a sunset session next summer, make sure you’re on my mailing list to get first dibs on a date!)

I’ve been photographing the Richardson family for quite a few years now – since their youngest was a brand new baby in fact, and I was invited to their home for a newborn session. I have the pleasure of seeing this crew at least once a year, and it’s been so fun watching these two sisters grow up and develop their charming little personalities. Both so full of giggles and silliness and joy – I always smile as I’m heading to one of their sessions as I know it’s going to be a fun one.

Just like this one was! When going through their collection of images for this blog post, I was struck by just how many favourites I had! They sure know how to make the most of a session! Big love and thanks to the Richardson family for this gorgeous 2021 session!
