Let’s be honest – the cute kiddo and the unimpressed dog are the stars of the show in this family photo session! I mean, mom and dad are gorgeous as well, but the cheeky smile on this little girl, in contrast to the consistent cringe face on the dog are what draws the eye in #amiright?

It’s been a tradition for quite a few years to see Monica and her family for a Mother’s Day session, and I love it. Each year, her daughter is a little spunkier and her dog is a little more crotchety and we have even more fun in spite of (because of?) it all!

What I love about this little family is their willingness to be playful and have fun with one another. They know that you can make great photos when everyone is laughing and enjoying each other’s company AND when everyone is smiling and looking at the camera. They always end up with the best of both worlds and I love them for it!
