As far as sunset sessions go, this was one of the most special in 2024. It took us awhile to make it happen, with two cancellations due to the weather and a really awful traffic jam, but we were finally able to make it happen, and I’m so glad we did!

Jen & her husband Matt have 4 beautiful children, but their original baby is Arnie, the family dog. And sadly, Arnie was diagnosed with cancer this summer, so this was a very important, very special session that focused a lot on their beautiful, calm and very well-loved boy. We definitely made sure to capture all the “usual” family poses and fun, but we made certain to get lots of photos of Arnie being loved up on by his gorgeous and adoring family.

What I love most about this family’s session are all the “caught in the moment” snapshots. Don’t get me wrong – I loved a perfect posed photo – but some of my favourites from this summer are in this family’s collection, when they’re just enjoying being around one another and letting the kids just be themselves. And so I send out a huge thank you to Jen, Matt and their lovely family for trusting me once again with these special memories. We love you Arnie.
