I had the absolute joy of reconnecting with Pilar earlier this May for a Spring Mini Session at beautiful Diefenbaker Park. The last time I photographed her, it was just her and her baby boy, an unforgettable session as her little man gave us sweet, pouty expressions as he tried not to cry, his little bottom lip quivering in the cutest way.
Fast forward to this spring, and so much has changed in the most heartwarming way. This time, Pilar brought not only her now-toddling son, but also her mom and her two lovely nieces, who are lucky enough to be living with her now. It’s clear that her home is filled with warmth and love.
The park was bursting with fresh greenery and sunshine (classic early May perfection) and the love radiating from this family was even brighter. Pilar was so sweet and attentive, not just with her little boy, but also with her nieces. She’s a natural nurturer, and it was such a treat to witness.
What stood out most was the bond between the kids. Her nieces absolutely adore their little cousin, and it’s obvious that he’s growing up surrounded by strong, caring women who think the world of him. The giggles, the cuddles, the spontaneous moments of joy, this session was full of them.
I feel honoured that I was invited back into this family’s story to see how it’s grown. Pilar, thank you for trusting me again to capture these memories. Your family is something special, and your little boy is truly one lucky kid. 💛
