Nick’s recent headshot session was one of those that felt easy from start to finish.
Nick is a fellow Delta Youth Theatre parent, so we’ve gotten to know each other well through our kids over the years. I’ve also been photographing his family – usually every fall – for quite a while now, so working together for professional headshots felt like a natural extension of that relationship.
Nick works in the tech industry and recently moved into a new role within his company. With that change came the need for updated headshots that better reflect where he is now professionally. Our goal was simple: clean, current, and approachable images that feel like an accurate representation of who he is.
Because we already knew each other, the session had a very relaxed pace. We spent much of the time talking between shots, covering everything from health and exercise (Nick is a serious source of information in that department) to our kids and their shared love of performing. His daughter and my son are the same age, and both will be on stage in Seussical Jr. this spring, which made for some easy conversation and mutual excitement about the busy months ahead.
The final images feel professional without being stiff, and polished without feeling overdone, exactly what you want when stepping into a new position.
Congratulations to Nick on his new role. Wishing you all the best as you settle into this next chapter.
