A Sibling Headshot Session Full of Charm, Poise, and a Little Bit of Sparkle
I love a session that reminds me why I adore photographing kids – like this one with Linden & Charlotte.
These two young siblings came in for headshots together, both with the same easygoing, ridiculously polite energy that made the whole session feel effortless.
Linden: The Charmer with the Freckles
Linden is the older of the two, and he’s just starting to dip his toes into auditioning and background work. He’s got that unmistakable combination of red hair, a sprinkle of freckles, and a grin that’ll melt hearts. He started out a bit shy, but soon relaxed in front of the camera – a little silly, a little thoughtful, and completely himself in every frame.
If you’ve ever wondered what makes a kid “photograph well” for auditions, it’s not about performing. It’s about being comfortable enough to just exist in front of the lens. Linden soon had that down pat.
Charlotte: The Star in the Making
Charlotte is the spunky little sister, and I mean that as the highest compliment. She’s a dancer through and through, which honestly showed the moment she walked in – she held herself with a poise that’s rare to see in a kid her age, but she was also friendly, chatty, and full of spark the second the camera was on her.
Fittingly, Charlotte was recently named a 2026/2027 Embody Ambassador with The Umbrella Project, a program built around helping young dancers feel seen, heard, supported, and understood. Anyone who spends five minutes with her will understand exactly why she was chosen.
Two Kids, One Wonderful Session
What struck me most was just how easy Linden and Charlotte made everything. No fussing, no dragging feet between setups, no convincing needed – just two genuinely kind, well-mannered kids who showed up ready to have fun. As a photographer, sessions like this are such a treat. When kids feel relaxed, safe, and comfortable, it shows in every single image.
Whether Linden lands his next audition or Charlotte is off to her next Umbrella Project appearance, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more of both of them.
