Hello Parents! For the last 9 years, I’ve had the honour and pleasure of photographing the young actors of Delta Youth Theatre for their new headshots. Each actor in DYT’s show has their headshot displayed in the lobby of the Equinox Theatre during the run of the show.
For Oliver Jr., I will be offering quick headshot sessions at my home studio in Tsawwassen throughout OCTOBER ONLY, so that any kids needing new headshots can have theirs taken. Sessions must be booked in advance.
DETAILS
Each session is about 15 minutes long and will take place at my home studio space in Tsawwassen. **PLEASE NOTE – I HAVE A NEW STUDIO SPACE! Still in Tsawwassen, but my new address is 4845 13th Ave (in case that makes a difference for travel times).
Headshot sessions are $50 each, and include the 15 minute session, a private online preview gallery of 20+ images, one edited/retouched digital image of your choice plus an 8×10 of that same image. Additional digital files are available for purchase for $30 + GST or 5 for the price of 4 for $120 + GST, after viewing your preview gallery.
Payment for the session is required upon booking.
PLEASE BOOK SESSIONS EARLY and don’t leave it to the last minute! If absolutely none of the available times work for you, there may be additional times available. Please email me if you’d prefer to coordinate another time.
FAQ’s
How long is my DYT headshot session?
Each actor’s session is about 15 minutes long.
What does my DYT headshot session fee include?
Your $50 headshot session fee includes the 10-minute portrait session, an online preview gallery, and your choice of ONE edited/retouched digital image file (jpeg), as well as ONE 8×10 print of that same headshot.
What should my DYT actor wear to their headshot session?
I encourage solid colours or small patterns (nothing too busy or visually overwhelming). Avoid any clothing with visible brand names or logos. Also avoid low-cut or off-the-shoulder shirts. Please keep in mind that my backdrop is white – best colours to wear tend to be jewel tones or solid, more vibrant colours (when in doubt – just try to avoid white!).
What about make-up and hair?
If your young actor is comfortable with make-up, natural-looking make-up is encouraged, including blush, mascara and neutral lipgloss. Please avoid bright lipsticks or overwhelming eye shadows. Long hair is best worn down. It’s not a bad idea to send along a hairbrush or extra hair product to their session!
How will I choose my actor’s headshot?
With 72 hours of the DYT headshot session date, you will receive an email with a link to an online preview gallery of shots from your actor’s headshot session. You will have one week to select your favourite shot from the gallery, after which point the gallery expires and will no longer be available for viewing.
What if I like more than one headshot? Can I purchase more?
You bet! Additional edited/retouched digital image files can be purchased for $30 + GST each or 5 for the price of 4 for $120 + GST. Simply select additional favourites in your preview gallery, and send me a quick email to let me know. I will then send you an invoice for payment for the additional image(s).
How will I receive my actor’s headshot?
Once I have finished editing and retouching your headshot choice(s), a full resolution jpeg file will be emailed to you. Your 8×10 print will be delivered directly to Delta Youth Theatre in time to be displayed in the lobby. You will be able to take your 8×10 print home after the final show.
My actor can no longer make their scheduled headshot session. Can I cancel or reschedule?
You sure can, provided that there is still available space! Please reach out via email to reschedule.
Are there any other session dates available at your home studio?
