Did you know that one of the scenic places to get married in the Lower Mainland is just a short drive outside of Vancouver? The quiet town of Ladner is quaint and friendly, with the perfect mix of expansive fields & farmland, scenic beaches and breathtaking views. We moved to the Ladner area because of it’s welcoming small-town feel, and I’m proud to call myself a member of its business community as a Ladner wedding photographer.
When my husband and I moved to the neighbouring community of Tsawwassen in late 2012, we were drawn to its small town feel, but also loved that it was within a short drive to the city and many of the amenities we loved. Now that we’ve lived here for awhile, we’ve come to love what South Delta has to offer – beautiful beaches, fresh breezes, lots of biking & walking trails, great family restaurants and a real feeling of community. There are also many beautiful wedding locations within the town, including Tsawwassen Springs Golf Club, Beach Grove Golf Club, Kirkland House and Cammidge House, which is featured in the images below.
Cammidge House is a beautiful, heritage house, just to the side of the road, as you drive to Centennial Beach. Ashlee & Devin’s intimate wedding took place here in May of 2015, with a small number of close family and friends gathered inside to witness their nuptials. This couple charmed me right away. Sweet together and sweet to each other, they were both giddy and nervous to share this day with some of their closest friends and family. Ashlee had put her heart and soul into created all the decor and party favours, which complemented the vintage location so well. I loved capturing this day, and this beautiful location for them!
