On a crisp January morning, I pulled up to an East Vancouver park, ready for my maternity session with Rachelle and her family. Within moments, I received a text that said they were running a bit late, and could I meet them at their home instead, just a few blocks away. A quick adjustment on my GPS, and I was off to their cute and cozy home, just around the corner, where two sweet little boys, their dad and very pregnant mama were eagerly awaiting me.

We decided to start their session at home, and truth be told, we never even ended up venturing outside because we captured so many lovely and adorable shots, right in their own living room and bedroom. I loved being welcomed into their home, where Rachelle’s two little boys eagerly showed me their race cars and Legos in between shots, and where she and her husband expertly managed any toddler disagreement with love and patience.

I love that we stayed at home for their photos, and just had them snuggle up together, as they eagerly awaited the arrival of a new baby sister (who I just got to meet last week – stay tuned!)
