If you’ve been following my photoblogs for awhile, you know that I’m a huge advocate for moms getting in the picture with their kids – and not just because I’m a photographer. So often, we are behind the camera, capturing all the special or every day moments, but we rarely turn the camera around.  One day, when our kids are older, they are going to look for photos of us with them – just like we love to look back at photos of them when they were younger – and they deserve to see the love we have for them and the joy they bring us. And we deserve it too!

This year, I was so pleased to have a couple dads reach out to me to purchase “Mom & Me” sessions for their wives for Mother’s Day.  Laura’s husband was one of those dads. Laura and her sweet kiddos joined me on a Monday morning in my studio and I immediately fell in love with how interactive she was with her children. She was totally game for tickle fights, reading silly books, and playing with balloons – and her kids were over-the-moon! Clearly, they adore their mama just as much as she adores them!
