I think it’s safe to say that no one loves this little boy more than his beautiful mama. New to South Delta, Shelley reached out to me to ask about my session options, as she wanted to capture her sweet relationship with her toddler son. And we all know how much I love photograph mamas with their babies, big or small!

I couldn’t wait to meet up with Shelley and her little man at Deas Island Regional Park (I seem to always be there these days!). This sweet boy was initially a little bit shy with me – more likely to sneak a quick peek at me from over his mama’s shoulder, than sit and smile for the camera. But his adorable grin and to-die-for dimple didn’t hide for too long! After a few minutes of wandering the trails and chatting and snapping some candid shots, his shyness melted away and he was more than happy to perform for the camera.

It was so heartwarming to watch Shelley interact with her son. She was warm and playful, giving him her full attention when he needed it, and laughing right along with his giggles when he found something funny. These photos really capture their simple and loving relationship.
