Stepping into this Tsawwassen family’s home last month for their newborn session, I was immediately struck by just how calm and restful it felt – which is not always the case when you have a toddler and a newborn at home! But mom and dad were both so relaxed and chill, laughing at the adorable antics of their toddler son (who, btw, has completely stolen my heart), and calmly moving from one task to the next like total pro parents.

Their new baby, sweet little N, was wide-eyed and curious for most of our session, often giving me an adorable side-eye, but totally content to be swaddled and cuddled (and poked by his older brother). We spent a relaxed couple of hours capturing all his teeny details plus his charming variety of facial expressions. To me, there aren’t too many things better than all of those unique, quirky, sweet newborn-baby faces – and baby N was a master!

I’m so grateful to all of the parents of newborns who trust me to come into their home to capture this precious time in their lives. A special thank you to Laura and Adam who welcomed me so warmly last month as we photographed all these sweet little moments.
