Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and celebrated when they are pregnant – but it’s not always easy when you’re uncomfortable and tired. That’s why, when my baby sister talked to me about doing a maternity session, I knew I had to make sure this experience was amazing.

She had been really keen to do a sunset session, but given that it was early March, and our schedules didn’t allow for us to coordinate something in the early evening while she was visiting from Victoria, I suggested that instead, we try a sunRISE session. It meant being dressed and ready in the car by 7am, but they were game!

Once that was decided, we spent way too much time combing through various clothing websites, putting together the perfect outfit combinations for her little family. But once she arrived in Tsawwassen and we saw the whole “look” together, we knew we had done a great job. She looked amazing and the morning weather was stunning. Cold, crisp, and frosty – but with a warm and magical glow in the fields at Centennial Beach.

To my little sister – you are beautiful, inside and out. I’m proud of you, and I love you.
