I wrote earlier this week about a sunset session I did with the Reid family, even though I had just arrived home from a family vacay and was feeling the jet lag. But that wasn’t the ONLY session I did that evening! There was another family waiting in the wings, who also happened to have just one night left in town.

So, what’s a photographer to do but book both families back-to-back, on what turned out to be a gloriously perfect summer evening? I worked with Victoria, her daughter and her extended family last year for one of my first sunset sessions ever, and couldn’t wait to meet her husband and their newest addition to the family, baby J at their session this year. The whole family looked gorgeous in their summery yet rugged farm-friendly attire (they run a farm in Alberta), and the beautiful sunset light truly captured all of their calm and joyful natures.

I hope to see them again next year!
