I love me an organized mama! Kimiko reached out to me way back in February, ready and keen to put a date on the calendar for her newborn session (normally, I pencil in a due date and we confirm when baby is born). She was fairly certain her new baby would be early, and I had a family vacation on my summer calendar, but we confirmed a date anyways and things worked out perfectly!

Sweet baby E was already about a month old when I caught up with this newly-minted family of 4, but I think that really helped to add to the feelings of ease and comfort in their family home. His adorable and spunky older sister was already more than used to her new baby brother and mom and dad, although tired, seemed relaxed and totally calm in this new version of their family.

And baby E was all kinds of adorable! Alert and exuding a totally chill wisdom, he was a dream to photograph, full of quirky facial expressions and a totally relaxed nature. The family home was a beautiful backdrop for these photos (clean white walls with beautiful natural light – yes, please!) and I just smile looking back at them!
