‘Tis the season for endless sunset sessions!
Covid-19 has certainly taken its toll on many of us, but thankfully, it’s meant lots of time together with family. And photo sessions can easily be done from a distance of 6ft. So if there’s been a silver lining through any of this, it’s that I’ve been privileged enough to capture so many gorgeous families through this pandemic, doing exactly what they’ve been doing throughout these last few months – enjoying their time together.
I met Amanda a number of years ago through a project that I worked on to raise money for the Pacific Post Partum Support Society. Over the years, we’ve kept in touch, and I even had the privilege of hearing her tell her story of her daughter’s diagnosis with cystinosis through the Listen to Your Mother project. I have loved witnessing her grow and blossom as a mother of the years.
Not surprisingly, Amanda and her crew were an absolute treat to work with. These kiddos were not afraid to be silly and have fun – and neither were mom and dad. There was a lot of running, a lot of playing, a lot of snuggles and a lot of laughs – and I suspect their every day lives are a lot like that too!
I’m honoured to share Amanda’s favourite shots with you!
