It’s been awhile since I shared a post from Deas Island Park, but I truly love this location for family photos. It’s so lush and green, with a huge variety of possible scenic backdrops, and lots of space to run and play. I’m so glad that I met up with Andrea’s family (including her husband, two boys, mom and mother-in-law) at this beautiful spot back in late August.

I knew that I would get along with Andrea and her crew even before we met, as she had mentioned in one of her emails to me that they very much prefer a more “informal” style of photos that capture the fun and laughter of the moment, rather than stiff, posed portraits. That’s right up my alley!

So, that’s what we did! As always, I grabbed a few posed “Christmas card” type shots right off the top of the session, and then we just had fun and let everyone enjoy each other’s company. A lot of laughs, a lot of snuggles, a lot of exploring, running and playing! Such a vibrant and fun session!
