Adding a new baby to your life is one of the most monumental and beautiful moments in your life – I think that goes without saying! But in addition to be monumental, it can also be confusing, expensive, painful and just downright chaotic. Adding another thing to do to your list, like newborn photos, may seem overwhelming. But any good newborn photographer knows this, and also knows how important those photos will be to you – and they are going to do their utmost to make this an easy and relaxed experience for you.
But just in case you’re still not convinced, here are my top reasons for investing in a newborn session, including my number one, most-important-reason-ever:
#1 – This one is obvious. Your baby will never be this little again. Ever. You might feel like you’ll remember their teeny toes and delicate eyelashes, but this time in your life can go past in a blur and before you know it, they’ll be bustling toddlers or moody teenagers. Which brings me to my next point…
#2 – The first few weeks with a newborn can be a total blur – maybe even the first few months! You’ve got follow-up doctor appointments, family visits, middle-of-the-night feedings….a newborn photo shoot can be a lovely time for you to stop time, connect with your new little one and capture some precious memories.
#3 – Right now, we are living in unprecedented times, as the world has come to a bit of a halt with Covid-19. Our family members may not be within our bubble and even though we’ve just experienced a hugely momentous occasion, those family members may not be able to visit. They can only connect with us through photos and videos. Great photos of your newborn can help to make them feel like they are a part of the magic.
#4 – Yes, you can take a million zillions photos on your iPhone of your new baby. But a professional newborn photographer is going to know where the right light is, what the best poses are, and how to capture your whole family at their best. Plus, it takes an added pressure off of you to get the perfect shot!

All of my newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home. Due to Covid19, I am taking every possible precaution to keep you and your family safe, including wearing a mask and gloves, sanitizing all of my gear and hands regularly, and maintaining a physical distance of at least 6 feet from each member of your family.
