Nothing was going to stop the wedding ceremony of these two – not Covid, not snow, not anything! My dear friend Joan tied the knot with her lovely partner, Greg, back in December, and I couldn’t WAIT to photograph this momentous occasion.

I’ve known Joan for over 15 years – since before I was married. We met while working at an arts centre together, and became fast friends. We’ve shared many a Cactus Club dinner over the years, she attended my wedding, and we even traveled through Ireland together (I can’t believe she trusted me to drive there!). Her friendship has been a constant, and even if we haven’t seen each other or spoken in months, it’s always so easy to pick up where we left off. She’s shown me what it looks like to value yourself, to take care of yourself, to work on yourself, and I’m SO thrilled that she found someone to share her life with that clearly values all of these things as well.

Joan & Greg’s wedding ceremony was very small – only a handful of friends and family in person, but dozens attending over Zoom. The room was full of so much love and joy, and I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of it on this snowy, December day.
