Rich’s Family Session | Tsawwassen Family Photographer

Given the choice, I think most people wouldn’t opt to do their family photos on New Year’s Day. You never know how you’ll be feeling after a night of celebrations and friends! But when the weather the rest of the week looks snowy and cold, you roll out of bed and make it work!

Such was the case for Rich and his family! They made the most of their New Year’s Eve, yet they still showed up bright-eyed and busy-tailed for their family portrait session at Diefenbaker Park on January 1st. It was a busy day at the park due the the snowfall the day before. Dozens of families dotted the steep hills of the park, enjoying the afternoon on the sleds and sleighs. But we kept to the other side of the park, and made use of the beautiful willow tree and snowy grass for their session.

And although they were tired and perhaps a teensy bit hungover, this family was still full of joy. Their two dogs came decked out in their wintry best and everyone kept their spirits up in the cold, smiling and joking about the night before. I love these gorgeous, snowy family photos!
