I’ve been hibernating for the last few weeks, as things have been a bit hectic in my family life, but slowly but surely, my booking calendar is filling up again and I’m back out there shooting! One of my first sessions back was with the lovely Hill family – a large and loving group who were celebrating a milestone 50th wedding anniversary!

Leading up to our session date, it. was. rainy. This spring has been quite wet (to say the least!), and I really wasn’t sure what we were going to do with this group of 10 people if the clouds and showers stuck around. But oh my goodness, did we ever get lucky! Snuck in between two very rainy days was one gloriously sunny evening, and it just so happened to be the evening that we had originally booked for our session – hallelujah!

So, off we all went to Boundary Bay Regional Park – one of my favourite places to shoot later in the day – and it was a glorious success. This group was full of boundless energy (mostly due to the younger boys who were overflowing in giggles and goofiness), and I definitely had to pull out my “5 Nice, 5 Silly” game to get some of the more “serious” shots. But as per usual, that also results in some of my favourite silly shots (which I always hope end up printed and frame on a wall somewhere).
