I love the month of May! Spring always feels like a lovely awakening – flowers in bloom, birds singing, and the sun finally starts to show itself a bit more frequently! The month of May also brings Mother’s Day and my birthday, and for the past few years, I’ve started the lovely tradition of offering pay-what-you-can Mother’s Day mini sessions. This year, they took place at Diefenbaker Park once again, and it showed off all it’s beautiful springtime splendour. The sun was shining, filtering through the gorgeous willow tree, just beside the duck pond and it made for such a lovely backdrop for these Mother’s Day sessions!

My first one of the season was with Alisha, her young daughters and her father (the kids’ grandpa) and it was so sweet! Her eldest was full of charming and silly energy, and her youngest was totally content to smile away on the blanket, looking adorable in her little hairband bow. I’m so pleased with the photos we captured for her!
