I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many new-to-Tsawwassen families lately! It’s hard to believe that 10 years ago, our family was the new-to-Tsawwassen family. Back then, I was pregnant and looking to build my client base in a new area, and nowadays, I love being able to welcome families to the area when they book a family photo session.

Kyla reached out to me a few weeks back, looking to book family photos, but she also needed some new headshots for a business and website she is getting ready to launch. She’s a sleep consultant, and I was so excited for her, since we used a sleep consultant ourselves many years ago when our son was a baby. It saved us! And I know that South Delta needs someone with her expertise, with so many new, young families moving to the area.

We met at one of my favourite new spots in Boundary Bay Regional Park, at the end of the gravel parking lots, where they’ve cleared out some of the blackberry brambles and freed up the lovely willow tree. It’s the perfect little spot, with beautiful light and a picturesque wooden fence. And this family was absolutely charming. Kyla’s eldest was full of zest and loved pulling faces for the camera. And her youngest had no problem giggling and laughing at all my silly faces and voices.
