Sunset sessions with me are fun. ALWAYS. That’s my main goal.

There’s something about the carefree nature of being at the Centennial Beach that just creates some true magic in photos. There’s no need to sit prim and proper. There’s no need for the kids to stand still. There’s no such thing as perfect when it comes to a sunset session, because the perfection truly comes from just relaxing into the moment and enjoying your time together as a family.

That’s what I love about photographing Andrea and her family. They always come ready to have fun, ready to play. They know that the best moments are captured when the kids are able to be their goofy selves, when the hugs are strong and genuine, when the laughs aren’t forced.

I’ve watched Andrea’s boys grow and change, but every single time I get to photograph them, I know I’m always seeing their real selves. They aren’t afraid to be silly or tell me long-winded stories. They have boundless energy. They may not pay attention 100% of the time – but I’ve never photographed a child that does! And that’s what I love about them, and why I’m so grateful that I get to see them year after year.
