We had an incredibly beautiful summer – so beautiful, that I hardly ever had to reschedule sessions due to bad weather! In fact, this was one of the only sessions this summer that was foiled by the rain in August and then ended up having to take place in late September. Thankfully, our gorgeous weather continued well into the fall so this family still had lovely, golden summer vibes at their sunset session, even though it wasn’t the height of the summer.
And of course, we had a blast! Carmen’s two kids were more than happy to ham it up for the camera and let their true spirits shine. I usually start most sessions with everyone posing on a blanket in the field. I like to get the posed shots out of the way while everyone still has high levels of patience. But eventually, it turned into one of those sessions where I was perfectly content to crawl around on the grass or in the sand and just follow the kiddos around to see what adorable images I could capture.
There were definitely a lot of smiles at this session. A lot of laughs. A lot of jumping and sand digging and stick dragging. But it was the perfect way to end a beautiful summer of sunset sessions at Centennial Beach!
