Delta Youth Theatre is BACK! With another hilarious and amazing production this spring – Shrek Jr.! Before they announced this as their upcoming production, I knew nothing about Shrek the Musical, but after sneaking some peeks in at rehearsals and doing these cast headshots, I now know that this is going to be one FUNNY, colourful and poignant show. You do NOT want to miss it!

The show runs May 5 – 14th 2023 at the Equinox Theatre at SDSS in Tsawwassen and follows the adventures of an ogre named Shrek, in a story where audiences will see their favourite fairytale characters come to life in a new and hilarious light. Shrek’s journey towards love and self-acceptance leads us to take a look at our prejudices, and work to better understand ourselves and others. It’s a very accessible musical theatre experience for all ages, young and old.

And once again, I had the extreme pleasure and honour of photographing some of DYT’s young stars! Each actor gets to have their headshot displayed in the lobby of the theatre during the run of the show, and the big headshot board always draws a huge crowd during intermission as well as before/after the show as audience-goers point out their favourite actors.
