Three young kids, a beautiful spring day, a picturesque location and one amazing mama, who rocked her Mother’s Day session with ease and grace. I’m all about the full family coming along for a Mother’s Day session, but I’m especially drawn to the mamas that come on their own, and let this be a treat, just for them and their babies. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Chelsey and her little ones for three years in a row now (back when there were only 2 little ones, in fact!), and I love that she rocks this session on her own.

It’s always a bit chaotic – but to be honest, ever session with young kids is chaotic, no matter how many adults are present. But I adore how Chelsey’s kiddos just love up on her, even in the craziness of the session. Never afraid to snuggle, never too busy to give a hug, full of smiles and giggles. These sessions always feel really organic and real, and it’s one of my favourite things about photographing Chelsey and her family.

Maybe one day I’ll meet dad (he was working night shifts), but for now, I’m honoured that Chelsey takes time out of her busy mom life to take these lovely and important photos with her babies!
