Every mom deserves beautiful photos with her child. So often, we are the ones behind the camera, capturing all the big occasions and little moments. Rarely do we get the opportunity to step in front of the camera and be loved and celebrated for being the amazing mama that we are (and no – selfies don’t count!).

It’s always been incredibly important to me to ensure that moms feel beautiful and honoured. That’s why I continue to offer my Pay-What-You-Can Mother’s Day mini sessions every May, although this year I didn’t actually do sessions ON Mother’s Day (decided to give myself a little break!). But that didn’t seem to matter when it came to all of the lovely mamas that joined me on May 7th and May 13th this year – for many of whom this has become an annual tradition!

Monica and her sweet girl (and pup!) have done Mother’s Day photos with me for three years in a row now, and I adore seeing them every year. Her little girl is just a sparkly, lovely little human – contrasted perfectly by Oscar the dog, who seems to always be giving me the side eye! They are such a fun trio to photograph, and Deas Island gave us the perfect location and weather for this year’s session!
