Three years ago, a young teenager tagged along to her sister’s sunset grad session during Covid, and we joked that we’d have to do it all over again in 3 years when she graduated as well. Well, thankfully. the Covid part is behind us, but I still had the absolute privilege of photographing Heather for her very own sunset grad session, at the beautiful Centennial Beach in Tsawwassen.

I’ve actually had the pleasure of getting to know Heather a little bit better over the past 3 years as well, as she has been a regular performer on the stage for Delta Youth Theatre (where I also moonlight as their administrator). Not only is she an incredible talent and singer, she is also a beautifully friendly face within the organization, bringing such a positive energy to the company. I know they will miss her dearly when she goes off on her post-graduate adventures.

It was truly an honour to photograph Heather on this gorgeous June evening. She danced in the fields, dipped her toes in the ocean and laughed along with her family (including her sister, who I got to see again!), creating some amazingly beautiful images!
