This sweet mother & daughter session came about because dad had been teased for years for having multiple photos of his daughter in his office – but none of his wife! So, he decided to reach out to me and set things right by coordinating this thoughtful session for his two favourite girls (and we even managed to sneak him into a shot at the end of the session too!).

I’ve been taking his daughter Rose’s photo for years (years!). Every year, I get to collaborate with her this holiday card photos – and I use the word “collaborate” purposefully because she always has ideas and suggestions for her photo shoot. Even when she was a little girl, she was art directing our holiday shoot together, bringing in various props and coordinating them with her creative poses. Her mom and I laugh about it every time we meet up, although I’m sure as Rose gets older, the photo sessions will be come less exciting and more of a “chore” for her! (ah, teenagers!).

But I truly love taking photos with Rose, and doing this session with her mom as well was really fun! We laughed a LOT, as I’m sure you can tell!
