She’s the woman that inspired my sunset sessions 5 summers ago when we set out into the fields at Centennial Beach with 4 generations of women from her family. Victoria and her daughter, plus her mother & sister, and her grandmother were the first group to ever venture out with me in the hour before sunset and it was such a gorgeous session that I decided to make it a “thing” and ever since, sunset sessions have been my most popular offering!

Even better is that Victoria & her family travel back to Tsawwassen every summer to visit their extended family, and I’m always thrilled to photograph them again, as her family continues to grow and evolve. Now, instead of one little girl, she has two, with a spunky little boy taking the place as middle child and keeping us all on our toes.

This crew loved chasing the sun with me on a late July evening, before the wildfire smoke settled into the area. Every single one of them was full of energy and totally open to my silly prompts and questions, resulting in some truly phenomenal, emotive images.
