Not every “sunset” session gets a beautiful sunset – but every session, will get beautiful images, no matter what, sunset or otherwise! In general, we see a lot of gorgeous, golden evenings in August, but this year, with the smoky skies and weird weather, we definitely had our share of evenings where the sun played hide and seek. That was the case with Chelsey’s session in early August.

But they were totally down with it! And the result – beautiful, fun images that truly showcase the personality of her littles and the gorgeous dynamic within her lovely family. We started at one of my favourite spots at Centennial Beach – a little alcove of trees and bullrushes, where the sun can peek through (if it’s cooperating!), and then moved down to the beach. And even though the wind picked up down by the water, it gave their images lovely energy and movement.

So, don’t feel discouraged if you don’t end up with your typical sunset on the evening of your photo shoot with me. There’s room for beauty in everything and Chelsey and her family completely embraced and exemplified that!
