It really shouldn’t have surprised me that this entire family ended up in the ocean at the end of their session – after all, 3 of the 4 of them did last year as well! But that’s what I love about them. Their sessions made be slightly chaotic (and wet!), but there’s never any lack of joy or enthusiasm or laughter, from either the kids OR the parents! They are always 100% IN for whatever goes down at their session.

From silly smiles, to hanging upside down, to brothers racing each other, to feet in the air, shoes on their heads, water splashing – there is never a dull moment at Sara’s family’s session. Year after year, they come back for more photos and more memories, and I’m never certain what we’re going to capture, but I always know that it’s going to be borderline insanity and total perfection.

Yes, there’s a time and a place for perfectly posed family photos and I love those shots too. But my favourites will, always and forever, be the photos with the real, honest energy of your family. These are the memories you’ll look back on with a giant smile on your face.
