Elisse’s Fall Session | Tsawwassen Photographer

Is it just me, or did the fall colours seem especially vibrant this year? Maybe I haven’t paid close enough attention in past years, but looking around Tsawwassen this year, I just felt like the reds were redder, the oranges were more orangey and the yellows were EVERYWHERE. It made my fall family mini sessions this year so colourful and lovely.

I’ve use this little spot in Diefenbaker Park for many years for my Mother’s Day mini sessions, but always from a different angle – under the willow tree. But this year, I noticed a beautiful red tree off to the side, and this awesome tree branch, perfect for posing photos and climbing on. Which is pretty much every kid’s first reaction to seeing it this year – including Elisse’s daughter! Up she went, ready to pose like a rockstar, up on the sturdy tree branch. This kiddo is definitely not short on personality!

I’ve been photographing Elisse and her family for years and years – since her daughter was just a wee little thing with teeny, tiny toddler pigtails, and it’s always a treat to catch up with them, even though our time together is brief. Elisse told me this year that they always make a photo book from their session to give to grandparents for Christmas, which just warms my heart. I love when these beautiful sessions are used to create memories for years to come!
