A few weeks ago, I was running the student matinee performances of Finding Nemo Jr. for Delta Youth Theatre, and after all the kids were loaded in to the audience just before the show started, I heard a little voice calling, “Miss Eran! Miss Eran!”….I turned around and it was sweet Miss A, eldest daughter of this lovely family. She smiled and waved at me, and it warmed my heart to see her because every time I do see her (out and about and not at a photo shoot) she always says hello and looks genuinely excited to see me.

I’ve been photographing Lindsay and her family for years and years and years, since before her eldest son was walking. I’ve literally watched her kids grow up through the lens of my camera. So, it’s extra special that her children treat me like a member of the family when I run into them, full of high fives and smiles and stories. Her youngest son is still a bit unsure of me, but I suspect it won’t be long until he’s giving me high fives and silly faces too.
