Many newborn photographers will tell you that babies need to be 2 weeks old or younger for a successful newborn shoot. Not me! Because I focus more of lifestyle images, rather than “posed baby in a basket” images, I’ve done newborn sessions from age 5 days old to 3 months. All I’m looking to capture are beautiful, meaningful images from the first few weeks of your baby’s life, and that can easily be accomplished at almost any newborn age.

Like baby W. He was about 15 days old at his newborn session and it couldn’t have been easier or more fun. Mom and Dad had really settled into their life and routine with a new baby, changing diapers like professionals, and snuggling him like the parental champions they are. And sweet baby W was more than happy to reward us with a wide array of precious facial expressions and stretches, keeping all of us giggling for the entire time that I was with them (his side-eye was completely on point!).

It’s obvious that this little boy is going to be VERY well loved in his young life! A huge thank-you to Amy & her husband for inviting me to their home and allowing me to capture these exciting new moments in their lives!
