What do you do when your “sunset session” has no sunset? You roll with it! At least that’s what you do when you’re Kira and her family!

When the day of Kira’s session arrived, it was a beautiful morning….but as the day continued, a hazy, low-lying smoke blanketed the sky. It was strange because if you looked straight up, the sky was blue and clear, but out along the horizon, it was grey and hazy. I gave Kira the option to either continue with her session or to reschedule for another evening, but she decided to just go with the flow and go ahead with the session as planned. I wasn’t worried. I knew that even without a sunset glow, we would still get lovely photos.

And we did! We even got some funky cloud formations in the background of some. Plus this crew totally brought their A-game, and made this session super fun and charming. Tons of laughs, tons of sweet moments and lots of really great portraits, even with the bizarre weather!
