Eight years! Eight amazing sessions with Elisse and her fantastic family. This fall, it was so special to photograph them again as we returned to the very spot in Diefenbaker Park where their first fall mini session with me took place. Some traditions really do stand the test of time!
Over the years, I’ve watched their family grow, and one thing has remained delightfully consistent: the joy and personality they bring to every session. Elisse’s daughter continues to be quite the little spark – a budding performer who knows just how to work the camera. Even as a little one, she loved striking poses, and now, she’s absolutely owning them. Dad, of course, never disappoints either, showing up in his signature stylish sneakers, often being worn for the very first time during our session. I always look forward to seeing what he’ll wear next!
This session was full of laughter, warmth, and catching up. I got to hear all about their recent adventure to Japan and honestly, listening to their stories has me itching to book a trip myself. Moments like these are what make family sessions so much more than just photos – they’re about connection, shared experiences, and creating memories that last a lifetime.
And speaking of memories, I can’t wait to see what they’ll do for this year’s Christmas card! For years, I’ve been lucky enough to have my images appear in their holiday greetings, and it never gets old. Every session with this family is a reminder of why I love what I do: watching personalities shine, traditions continue, and families grow in front of my lens.
Here’s to another beautiful chapter with Elisse and her family!
